Across the country, voter registration deadlines are rapidly approaching. Our team has been working around the clock, in-person and online, to ensure the largest and most diverse generation in history has the resources they need to make their voices heard. Since the start of the school year, NextGen America has registered over 71,000 young people to vote across eight states.

🤝On the Ground🤝

Puff n’ Politics

NextGen America and the Detroit Pistons spent last Saturday celebrating an evening of premium cigars, cannabis, cocktails, and conversation with executives and leaders across culture and community. As part of NextGen America’s Men’s Voter Power (MVP) campaign, the event focused on educating and mobilizing young Black and Brown men, collecting over 200 ‘pledge to votes’ from participants.

Team Arizona

CBS News joined our field team in Arizona for a story highlighting our organizing efforts both on the ground and online with college athletes. Watch the full segment here!

Team Pennsylvania

Last month, NextGen America joined the Philadelphia Eagles, the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, and many of our other partners and PA community leaders to host a summit at Lincoln Financial Field to discuss violence prevention efforts and how to build on White House’s ongoing program to prevent gun violence through a coordinated response and support structure. The summit featured over 100 leaders including elected officials across all levels of government, direct service and violence interruption non-profits, public health leaders, survivors, and more.

Team Texas

As team Texas shifts into GOTV, the field program has shifted from voter registration to working with students to make voting plans. This work includes a multi-layered voter engagement program with tabling, high traffic canvassing, door knocking, phone banking and text banking. Here’s our team door-knocking in San Antonio!

This November will be Charlotte’s first time voting. She is extremely passionate about civic engagement and is eager to make her voice heard by showing up to vote. Charlotte considers reproductive rights to be the most important issue when thinking about who to vote for.
